Airbit Waves Goodbye to Marketplace Commission Fees
In August, we ushered in significant enhancements to our Marketplace, introducing a range of new payment options. Now, you can purchase beats with PayPal, and also credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, AliPay, and more. The results were nothing short of astonishing—a staggering 60% surge in Marketplace sales within the first month alone. This, however, marks only the beginning of our journey towards creating a more robust and accessible Marketplace.
Today, we bring you some big news. We have been listening to our community, and we are excited to announce that we are removing all Airbit seller commission charges across our Marketplace, a benefit that extends to all members, even on free accounts. We've always prioritized your earnings, and that won't change. We hope that on top of the fact that we have 0% buyer commission fees as a platform, this will empower more creators to be able to afford to license or buy your beats. The only deductions from your Marketplace sales are the necessary PayPal/Stripe transaction and payout fees, which depend on your chosen method. Please note, that these are not taken as platform fees for Airbit; they're standard transaction costs. This change is effective immediately.
We kindly request that you update your Payout details within your Studio dashboard to make sure you get paid on time.
In addition, we are introducing several new features we believe you’ll find valuable, with this being just the beginning of many more exciting things to come.
Basic Account Updates
We value our users, which is why we've enhanced our free Basic tier, allowing you to experience more of what we offer before considering a Platinum upgrade. Along with reducing seller Marketplace commission fees from 40% to 0%, we're expanding our free Basic tier to offer three additional benefits:
Double the Beats: You can now upload up to 20 beats to your Marketplace profile, doubling the previous limit of 10 beats.
Auto-post Beat Videos: You can now automatically post beat videos to your socials.
Social Unlock Free Downloads: Enjoy the ability to unlock free downloads through social engagement.
This represents the most comprehensive free offering available on any beat platform. Our free Basic tier is now equipped with everything you need to see the full potential of selling on Airbit.
Introducing the New Solo Store
We've launched a new embed store specifically for individual beats. This allows you to showcase and sell your beats across the web in stunning fashion. To access the new embed store, simply go to your beat on the Marketplace, click the Share icon, and you’ll be able to access the embed code for the store under the Embed tab.
Sound Packs Now in the Marketplace
Platinum members have had the capability to sell Sound Packs in their personal stores for some time now. Now, these Sound Packs can be sold directly from your profile on the Marketplace. Start uploading today, and enjoy 100% of your Sound Packs sales with no commission deductions!
Sign in with BandLab
Now that Airbit is a part of the BandLab Technologies family, we're delighted to announce the beginning of deeper integrations between our sister companies, starting first with the world’s largest social music creation platform, BandLab. Starting now, existing BandLab users can easily register and log in to Airbit using their BandLab accounts, similar to how you'd sign in with Google or Facebook accounts. We believe this is the first step in making things more seamless for creators who need premium beats or sound packs and to increase the audience of creators for our community of beat makers and producers.
