Introducing Airbit Messaging
At Airbit, we believe in creating authentic connections to foster collaboration.
Airbit Messaging enables anyone with an Airbit account to create one-on-one conversations with any other user on the platform. Maybe you’ve found a producer whose beats you love, and you want to know if they have any others with a different sound. Or you’ve got a specific project in mind, and you’re wondering if a producer would want to collaborate with you. Now, you can message them directly and privately, and start building that relationship.
There are a couple of ways to do it. When you’re logged in to your account, you can initiate a new conversation with a user from their profile, by clicking the message icon under their name.
You can initiate up to five new conversations per day. We put this limit in place to prevent spam, and to encourage users to be thoughtful and deliberate about who they’re messaging and why. But the limitation only applies to initiating NEW conversation threads. Once you’ve started a conversation, you can message back and forth as much as you want.
You can also initiate conversations by clicking the message icon on the top right of the screen, anywhere on the Airbit marketplace, selecting “New,” and then typing in a producer’s Airbit handle.
The platform will send an email to notify you of new messages that have arrived in your Airbit inbox. You can disable those email notifications, if you want, by clicking settings on the messages page.
You can also block a user by clicking the information icon to the right of their name, on the messaging page. This will block them from messaging you anymore, as well as block them from following you, your playlists, or otherwise getting your updates.
With Messaging, we’re excited to foster true collaboration and communication between everyone in the Airbit community. We hope this inspires you to connect with others in the Airbit family.
